First major Glenwood lighting project to be unveiled on Oct 29

After being pre-occupied with a hundred other things, I am finally creating some new lighting configurations in my home parlor & studio.

My roommate, Chuck Lezotte, and I have lived in our current apartment since October, 2009.  A serious amount of “behind-the-scenes” work has occurred, mostly in the form of audio and data wiring and networking of computer systems.  Also, a couple of painting projects, video projection mounting and calibration, along with small portions of the lighting installation have been completed.

This space is an incredible upgrade from my last.  Much larger and with far more character.  As I develop the lighting, video and audio for this space, I have taken my time to make sure that the solutions cater to Chuck, myself and the styling of the apartment itself.  This next week will be the first major documentation of this new space and is VERY exciting to me!  More posts with images/video shall be posted after work is completed.

I think that this little gem of a quote pretty much says it all about my latest foray into blogging. Ha! For the longest time, I just couldn’t really see the need, but times and circumstances do change.

I believe WordPress is far geekier than it’s makers realize…

Sweet bananas… I have been attempting to install WordPress on my web-hosting server via a MySQL database.  I’ve no clue what the heck I’m doing yet the instructions are so “oh, this should be easy…” I’m not tech-stupid, thank you very much, but this process is so convoluted and full of obscure variables.  There are so many things that are not clear at all. I’ve no clue how your average “Joe” could ever manage this.

As it stands, I shall have to just use their “hosted” site until I can figure this stuff out.  The benefit of hosting it upon my own domain is more flexibility in the design and function of the blogging options.  Of course, WordPress also maintains very nice blogging accounts on their own servers (which is how this blog is coming to you) but these are more limited and not as open to custom design options.

So, if anyone reading this has any clue about what I’m writing about and knows any solution, please post a comment.  :-)
